FURLAN

A family-run winery producing exceptional, unique wines.

MADE WITH LOVE

The Famly

The Furlan winery was established by Nonno Amedeo in 1930.  It is the result of the work of an agricultural family deeply rooted in this land.

Since then, the winery has been handed down to the nephews Amedeo, Alberto and Moreno, who in respect for tradition have been able to take Furlan into the future.

The Vineyards

Furlan are situated in Veneto,  the superior Prosecco region of Northern Italy.  They have vineyards which stretch across the DOCG and DOC areas.

The vineyards extend between the DOCG Conegliano Valdobbiadene, DOC Treviso and DOC Piave areas.  The distinctiveness of these lands - the morainic hills of Conegliano and the stony plain of Piave - make it possible for Furlan to produce wines with a unique flavour and diverse aroma, which truly expresses the essence of the terroir.

The Wine Portfolio

Furlan produce a wide range of extraordinary Prosecco and sparkling wines, available in different sweetnesses, styles and sizes:

  • Prosecco Superiore DOCG Millesimato Extra Dry - (Magnum, Standard and Baby sized bottles)

  • Prosecco DOC Spumante Brut

  • Prosecco DOC Spumante Extra Dry

  • Prosecco DOC Frizzante

  • Prosecco DOC Frizzante Mini

  • Rosé Spumante Brut

Rosé Spumante Brut

So 'Rosé Spumante Brut' does not sound particularly special, but don't let the name fool you.  Furlan's sparkling Rosé is an incredible wine and well loved by the majority of consumers that taste it.

This wine is a beautiful blend of:

  • Glera (the main grape used to make Prosecco)

  • Manzoni Bianco (a white grape, a cross between Riesling and Pinot Blanc)

  • Cabernet Sauvignon

Made in the Charmat method, the result is a Brut sparkling wine with 12g sugar per litre; so dry but not too dry. It has a great balance of acidity and sugar.  The wine has aromas of unmistakable fresh strawberries and summer red fruits and has a delightful salmon pink colour.  On the palate, the rosé has the taste of fresh strawberries and cream.

Just to clarify, Furlan's Rosé Spumante is not a Rosé Prosecco. Read more about why here.
